Most producers and musicians already have a way to export a track and listen somewhere else. The problem is the extra loop of exporting, renaming, sending, and organising files every time.
For music producers, mix engineers, songwriters, and DJs
Sync audio from Mac to iPhone/iPad quickly.
Final Draft is an audio review app that keeps in-progress tracks, mixes, ideas, and masters in sync from your Mac to your iPhone or iPad through iCloud Documents or Backend-Relay, so you can review them away from your usual setup without exporting files or juggling other apps.
Why It Helps
Reviewing a mix on iPhone, headphones, or in the car should be easy.
Final Draft removes that friction by transferring your current working audio files to your phone while you keep working in your DAW on your Mac.
Listen to a track while on a walk, preview how it sounds on phone speakers, or use CarPlay when driving is part of your mix review workflow.
Best Fit
Built for music creators who check work away from the studio.
The strongest search opportunity for Final Draft is not broad "audio app" traffic. It is people looking for a simpler mix review, track preview, and iPhone listening workflow while they are still actively working on songs.
Producers
Keep current bounces and rough mixes ready on your phone without rebuilding your export routine every time something changes.
Mix engineers
Review revisions on earbuds, phone speakers, and in the car while keeping notes tied to the exact file you are checking.
Artists and DJs
Carry new ideas, edits, and versions with you across devices so you can keep listening and deciding what to change next.
How it works
Choose folders on your Mac
Point Final Draft at the folders where your audio lives and let the macOS app watch them in the background.
Choose how files transfer
Use iCloud Documents for Apple-managed sync, or Backend-Relay for a direct temporary transfer path managed by Final Draft.
Open the iPhone or iPad app
Files automatically download on-demand on any device linked to your selected sync path. No hassles.
Transfer Options
Use iCloud Documents or Backend-Relay.
Final Draft supports two ways to move your working audio from Mac to iPhone or iPad. You can stay with iCloud Documents, or use Backend-Relay when you want Final Draft to coordinate transfer outside your iCloud Drive storage.
iCloud Documents
The Mac app exports watched audio into Final Draft's iCloud Documents container. Your iPhone and iPad then use Apple's iCloud Drive sync to discover and download those files on demand.
- Best when your devices use the same Apple ID.
- No separate upload step or extra account to manage.
- Availability depends on iCloud Drive and local device storage.
Backend-Relay
The Mac app asks Final Draft's backend for a short-lived upload link, sends the audio directly to private temporary storage, and marks the upload complete. The iPhone or iPad then checks for changes, receives a short-lived download link, saves the file locally, verifies it, and sends a receipt.
- Designed for direct Mac-to-mobile transfer without relying on iCloud Drive.
- The backend tracks metadata, versions, receipts, and cleanup.
- Large audio files transfer directly to temporary storage, not through the web app.

iPhone, iPad
- iOS 18.6 and up
- Signed into the same Apple ID as your Mac for iCloud Documents sync

Note: The amount of storage and availability of files depends on your device, selected transfer path, and how much free space is available. iOS devices may remove iCloud downloads when running low on space.
